I have a brick wall in my house, that when it was uncovered, we found there were a couple of bricks missing. Whoever had covered the wall had inserted small wooden brick-sized blocks in place of the missing bricks. I said for about a year, I need to paint the block, especially on the stairs to look like a little mouse house door! How cute would that be, and so much fun for visiting kids- who are at that level, and would probably notice!

So… I finally made good on my little project:

Here it is from a distance to give you an idea of how big it is. I was right, too… the kids do notice it! It’s a fun little kitschy addition to my house!
